The receptor type tyrosine protein phosphatase C (synonym CD45 , PTPRC ) is a surface protein from the group of protein phosphatases .

properties

PTPRC dephosphorylates phosphotyrosine residues in proteins . It binds to DPP4 and is involved in the activation of T cells , whereupon SKAP1 and Fyn are bound and dephosphorylated. It is glycosylated and phosphorylated . The glycosylation of PTPRC changes, and with it the protein-protein interactions . In T cells, Lck is dephosphorylated by PTPRC, whereas in B cells it is Lyn . In T cells, the ability to activate the T cell receptor is increased.
