CDBurnerXP is a free burning program . It is in the fourth version and runs under Windows from version 2000 . The program was originally developed by Stefan and Fredrik Haglund. Canneverbe Limited has been responsible for further development since 2007.
CDBurnerXP processes CD-R and CD-RW media as well as DVD ± R , DVD ± RW , DVD-RAM and Blu-ray Disc ( BD-R ) and HD DVD including double-layer data carriers. You can create ISO images and burn them.
When creating audio CDs , compressed audio files such as. B. Ogg Vorbis , can be used directly and do not have to be manually decompressed beforehand. Information available in the files about the title, artist etc. can be used to create a cover for the CD.
The program does not bypass any existing copy protection.
From version 4 CDBurnerXP requires the .NET framework. The source code is not freely available because proprietary program libraries are used.
