Club Deportivo Eldense is a Spanish football club from the city of Elda , Alicante . The club, founded in 1921, plays in Segunda División B , Group 3 for the 2016/17 season .

history

Club Deportivo Eldense was founded on September 17, 1921 by some fans of FC Barcelona , to which the club also owes its club colors. In 1956, the club was able to rise to the Segunda División for the first time after Real Madrid's second team was defeated in the play-offs.

In the 2005/2006 season the club made a name for itself, as the first team qualified for the Copa del Rey 2006/2007 and also returned from the Tercera División to the Segunda División B after 14 years . After only a year, however, the Valencians rose from third from bottom back to the fourth division.

When CD Eldense lost to FC Barcelona B 0:12, the club's biggest defeat, in the 2016/17 season , the club's president canceled the team because he assumed it had been manipulated. In connection with this, the Italian investor and the Italian coach accused the Italian investor of strange behavior and said: "I assume that the game has been postponed, I suspect various players".
