Compañía Industrial de Automotores SA , or CIDASA for short , was an Argentine manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

British Motor Corporation took over vehicle production from Siam Di Tella from Monte Chingolo in 1965 or 1966 . The production of automobiles continued. The brand names were now MG , Morris and Riley . Production ended in April 1967. A total of around 7,000 vehicles were built.

The models on offer were the MG 1650 , Morris 1650 and Riley 1500 as a four-door sedan , the Morris 1650 Traveler as a four-door station wagon and the Riley 1500 Pick-up as a pick-up . They were the successors to the Di Tella 1500 and belonged to the BMC ADO9 model family . The Riley had the well-known four - cylinder engine with 73 mm bore , 89 mm stroke , 1489 cm³ displacement and 56  hp . MG and Morris had a larger four-cylinder engine with 76.2 mm bore, 89 mm stroke, 1622 cm³ displacement and 75 hp.

With a wheelbase of 2546 mm, the vehicles were 4520 mm long, 1610 mm wide and 1520 mm high. The curb weight was given as 1090 kg.
