CONCORD (organization)
CONCORD (European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development) is the European umbrella organization of development -policy non-governmental organizations . The members, 22 national umbrella organizations and 18 international networks, represent over 1,600 NGOs in the EU . The association was founded on January 30, 2003 in Brussels by 28 organizations.
The Austrian umbrella organization “Global Responsibility - Working Group for Development and Humanitarian Aid” and the German “ Association for Development Policy and Humanitarian Aid of German Non-Governmental Organizations ” (VENRO) are members of CONCORD.
The current president is Johannes Trimmel .
