Convergence is an Italian heavy metal band that was formed in Parma in 2001 .

history

Convergence was founded in 2001 by guitarist Giacomo Mambriani and was initially a death metal band. The first self-distributed album, Colors Behind the Emotion , received very good reviews, but after only a few months the band broke up due to personal and musical differences. Mambrian then decided to reform the band with a different style. In 2003 the new line-up was complete and, in addition to Mambrian, now consisted of Michelangelo Naldini (drums), Massimiliano Andrini (bass) and Alessandro Palladini (vocals). The band then worked on new material with producer Giordano Occhi and finally signed a record deal with the British label Casket Records . The first commercial album Points of View was initially released across Europe and on July 24, 2006 worldwide. In addition, video clips were created for two songs on the album, for Six Feet Under (director: Brain Optional) and Silent (director: Carlo Strata).
