The locomotives of the T1c class of Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) was the third series Selkirk locomotives . It consisted of 6 locomotives that were built in 1949 by the Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in the province of Québec with the serial numbers 76221 to 76226. The last locomotive in the series was also the last steam locomotive built for a Canadian railroad.
technology
The oil-fired Texas locomotives had a 1'E2 ' wheel arrangement, that is, a leading running axle , five coupling axles and a trailing bogie . The superheated steam locomotives had two external cylinders with a maximum pulling force of 350 kN, which could be increased to 53 kN with a booster .
Preserved locomotives
Two machines of the T1c have been preserved, the 5931 and 5935, the remaining four have been scrapped. The 5931 is in the Heritage Park Historical Village in Calgary and the 5935 is in the Canadian Railway Museum in Delson .
