The CS Chênois ( Club Sportif Chênois , dt . : Sportclub Chênois ) is a Swiss football club from the municipalities of Thônex , Chêne-Bourg and Chêne-Bougeries near Geneva . The club was founded on July 1, 1907 Football Club Thônex and renamed CS Chênois in 1924. The club currently plays in group 1 of the 2nd interregional league , the fifth highest Swiss league. Chênois was able to celebrate its greatest successes in the 1970s and 1980s, when the club belonged to the highest and second highest leagues, National League A and B. The last time the club belonged to National League B was in the 1994/95 season .
