The CT Cinetrade AG is a Swiss media company , which is primarily located in the entertainment sector. The telecommunications group Swisscom holds 100 percent of the share capital .

It describes itself as "the leading Swiss film rights and content trading company for the purchase and exploitation of program and sports broadcasting rights both for providers (B2B) and for end customers (B2C)".

Pay TV

Teleclub AG of the Swiss pay TV broadcaster Teleclub is 100 percent a subsidiary of CT Cinetrade AG. In turn, it has been owned by Swisscom since 2005 , and 75 percent since 2013. CT Cinetrade AG, Palatin Media Film- & Fernseh GmbH and Arium AG each hold one third in Teleclub Programm AG. Former shareholders included the Swiss Rediffusion or the Kirch Group and, until 2012, the Swiss media company Ringier .

Cinemas

CT Cinetrade is the majority shareholder of the Kitag Group (originally Kino-Theater AG ), which operates a total of 27 cinemas in Zurich , Bern and Basel , as well as in the greater St. Gallen and Lucerne area. This makes the day-care center the largest Swiss cinema operator . The group of companies includes five legally independent companies:

  • KITAG Kino-Theater Basel AG (100 percent)
  • KITAG Kino-Theater Bern AG (80 percent)
  • KITAG Kino-Theater Luzern AG (100 percent), since 2008
  • KITAG Kino-Theater St. Gallen AG (100 percent), since 2007
  • KITAG Kino-Theater Zürich AG (80 percent)

Film rights trade

Plazavista Entertainment is 100 percent owned by CT Cinetrade . Among other things, this company undertakes the video evaluation of the films from Regency Enterprises in Switzerland.
