Cabalete is a Philippine island in the province of Quezon , south of the Polillo archipelago and off the island of Luzon .
Cabalete Island is located in Lamon Bay and is administered by the municipality of Mauban . The island can be reached via a ferry connection with the port of Mauban. The island has a land area of 16.40 km² and two barangays , with a population of 3,395 people, are located on the island. The island has a larger mangrove forest and at low tide there are up to one kilometer wide marshland off the coast free of water.
