The Polillo Archipelago ( en: Polillo Islands ) is a group of islands in the Philippines . The group of 24 islands is located in the Philippine Sea , about 25 km east of the island of Luzon , separated from it by the Strait of Polillo. The archipelago forms the northern boundary of Lamon Bay .

The archipelago includes the islands of Polillo- (approx. 761 km²), Patnanugan- (approx. 41 km²), Bird-, Binobowan, Bakaw-Bakaw-, Puting Bato-, Ikulong-, Anilon-, Anawan-, Buguitay, Minasawa, Kanaway, Manlanat, Palasan and Jomalig Island . Larger settlements can only be found on four of the islands. The topography of the islands is very different, while Polillo and Patnanugan Island have a hilly to mountainous character, Palasan or Jomalig Island are very flat. The highest point of the archipelago is Mount Malulod, it is located in the south of Polillo Island and reaches 350, according to other sources 300 meters above sea level. Numerous coral reefs and sea grass meadows are spread across the archipelago. The Polillo Coral Reef is the largest coral reef in the archipelago, it is located at the entrance of Polillo Bay and has a length of five and a width of about two kilometers.
The archipelago is under the administration of the Quezon Province . According to the 2007 census, the archipelago had a population of 82,384 people who lived in six larger municipalities. These are:

A large number of endemic animal and plant species live on the islands , but they are coming under increasing pressure due to the increasing deforestation of the forest. On the island group live among other Polillo-Tariktik hornbill (Penelopides manillae subnigra) , the Philippine Duck (Anas luzonica) , the red-vented cockatoo (Cacatua haematuropygia) , the gold Fischer (Ceyx melanurus) , the Philippines Woodpecker (mulleripicus funebris) , the Amethysttaube (Phapitreron amethystina) , the Merrill fruit pigeon (Ptilinopus merrilli) , the Luzon dagger-stinging pigeon ( Gallicolumba luzonica) and the sultan's woodpecker (Chrysocolaptes lucidus) . The rare snow heron (Egretta eulophotes) , also known as the Chinese little egret , is a migratory bird that can be spotted on the archipelago at times. The common tern (Thalasseus bergii) breeds on the island of Manlanat.
Larger mammals include the Philippine deer (Cervus mariannus) , the Philippine pustular pig (Sus philippensis) , the bat Rhinolophus rufus and the golden-crowned flying fox (Acerodon jubatus) . Among reptiles, the Ularburong (Boiga dendrophila) , Gray's monitor lizard ( Varanus olivaceus) and the Philippine sailing lizard (Hydrosaurus pustulatus) occur, and amphibians the Polillo wood frog Platymantis polilloensis . Observations of the butterfly white tree nymph (Idea leuconoe) are also known.
