The Cabo Depot ( Spanish , in Argentina Cabo Depósito ) is a cape on the southeast coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is 4 miles west southwest of Hamilton Point on Admiralty Road .
The cape was discovered during the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1904) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld . The name, however, goes back to Chilean scientists. The further naming background has not been passed down.
