Caersws Football Club ( Wal . : Clwb Pêl Droed Caersws , Eng . : Caersws Football Club) is a Welsh football club from Caersws in County Powys . He plays in the 2nd division, the Cymru Alliance .

history

The club was founded in 1887 as Caersws Amateurs FC. It has had its current name since 1974 and was a founding member of the League of Wales in 1992 . The team played in the top league until 2010, with the best result achieved in the 2001/02 season with fourth place.

That year the club was also represented internationally in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2002 , but had to admit defeat to Marek Dupniza from Bulgaria 1: 3 in the first round .

In the years 2006-2009 the team played successfully against relegation. For the 2010/11 season, the league was reduced to 12 teams. Since then he has been playing in the 2nd division, the Cymru Alliance.
