Café Luna

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Café Luna was a pocket booklet series with romance novels . The booklets were published by Cora Verlag .

It was the first series of the publisher in which neither American authors participated nor at least American-sounding pseudonyms were used.

History of the series

Cora-Verlag initially only published novels as translations from the American. It was not until around 2000 that individual novels by German authors appeared within the publisher's ranks - all under American-sounding pseudonyms. In 2007, the concept of a new series was developed under the direction of four editors. Only after the concept was in place was the publisher Mia König (probably a pseudonym), who had already published several books at the time, selected to write the novels. The series was worked out together, and finally the novels were written by Mia König.

Based on the telenovela , the series was advertised as the first reading novela in Germany and ran for four issues in a monthly rhythm from May to August 2008.

action

Café Luna processed the Romeo and Juliet - fabric . The main characters are Luisa Vogt and Konstantin. The two belong to warring coffee roasting dynasties in Hamburg, the place where all the novels are set. Luisa's family is part of Hansen Kaffee . Essentially, the novels are about the struggle for a secret recipe (Café Luna) and the developing love between the two protagonists, which their families will not tolerate. So it comes to the engagement of Constantine, however not to Luisa, but to a woman chosen by the family.

At the beginning of the series, Luisa is a coffee roaster who wants to own her own café. She is invited to the opening of the will of her deceased boss. On this day she meets Konstantin, the offspring of another coffee roaster dynasty, which then provides material for further novels.
