Cafer Abaylı (born May 5, 1979 ) is a former Turkish ice hockey player and current coach, who was last under contract with İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK in the Turkish Super League until 2013 . He is currently the assistant coach at İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK.

Career

Cafer Abaylı began his career as a hockey player at İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK , for whom he made his debut in the Turkish Super League in 2002 . After becoming runner-up with his team in 2013, he ended his active career. He has been the club's assistant coach since 2014.

International

For Turkey, Abaylı, who was used both as an attacking player and as a defender, took part in the youth division of the U20-D World Cup when the team conceded a total of 93 goals in four double-digit defeats. Only at 1:28 against Mexico was there a goal. With the men's national team he only played in the World Cup in Division III in 2012 , when he was promoted to Division II with the Turks.

After the end of his active career he was assistant coach of the Turkish junior team at the U20 World Cup 2014 in Division III.
