The Caffè Paszkowski in the Piazza della Repubblica No. 31-35 is a traditional Florentine café .

Soon after it opened in 1846, the Paszkowski mutated from a brewery pub to a concert café and, around 1900, became the meeting place for Florence's writers. Giovanni Papini , Giuseppe Prezzolini , Ardengo Soffici , Gaetano Salvemini , Gabriele d'Annunzio , Eugenio Montale , Umberto Saba , Vasco Pratolini , among others, frequented the area . In 1991 the café was declared a Monumento Nazionale and placed under monument protection.
