Cage is an American heavy metal band from San Diego . Their style is classic heavy metal with influences from US power metal .
history
Cage was nominally founded in 1992, the first demos were recorded in 1995. In 1999 they won the band contest organized by Rock Hard magazine with 600 participants , after which they released their first regular album Unveiled on Omega Records. Appearances at Dynamo Open Air and Wacken Open Air followed. In 2000, Cage released the album Astrology . With the album Darker Than Black (2003) they switched to the German label Massacre Records .
At the Bang Your Head Festival 2004 there was a fight between the Cage singer Sean Peck and Blaze Bayley (ex-member of Iron Maiden ). Bayley's remarks against George W. Bush's policies sparked an argument that ended in a brawl. Bayley got a black eye.
In 2007 the album Hell Destroyer was released. It conceptually tells the apocalypse after the revelation of John .
