Caleb T. Winchester

Caleb Thomas Winchester (* 1847 ; † 1920 ) was an American literary scholar.

Winchester graduated from Wesleyan University , Middletown (Connecticut) in 1872 , where he was professor of English literature and rhetoric until his death in 1873 . In 1869 he became head of the university library. This post is now named "Caleb T. Winchester University Librarian" after him. The Psi Upsilon Fraternity's "Caleb T. Winchester Award for Excellence as a Scholar-Teacher" is also named after him.
