Calibra Motor Corporation South Africa was a South African company in the motor vehicles . It was based in Westwood . It was a subsidiary of CCE Holdings.

history

CMC was founded in March 2008.

According to its own information, CMC has sold around 500 to 600 minibuses per month since 2008. It had 40 dealerships. Another source lists 23 companies.

In 2011 there were plans for a vehicle assembly plant in Harrismith , which should go into operation in 2015. A little later, the project was described as unlikely in the short to medium term. King Long and Huanghai should also be involved in the construction of the plant .

It is doubtful whether the company will continue to exist. The website was only available until 2015. In spring 2016, CMC was still involved in a tender.

Models

The company imported commercial vehicles from GAC Changfeng Motor , Huanghai SG , Foton and Jinbei and sold them under the CMC and Plutus brands . Then there were the Amandla and Ses'Buyile taxi models . Lifan passenger cars , however, were offered as Lifan .

Other brand names were Tebris , Sphinx and Khoi .
