California 3000 is software developed for the construction industry for Microsoft Windows by G & W Software Entwicklung GmbH in Munich.

The successor product California.pro has been around since 2010 .

The software can be used for cost planning, tendering, awarding and billing (AVA) in the construction industry and for construction controlling during the planning and monitoring of construction projects. It is used by companies from the fields of architecture and engineering, building authorities, project managers, construction departments of banks, insurance companies and industrial groups, supply and disposal companies, housing and real estate companies and property developers.

The software supports the user from the budget through the HOAI phases 1–9 to the cost determination and documentation of the completed construction project.

history

In 1983 the managing directors and partners Erwin Grütter and Dr. Achim Warkotsch founded G & W Software Development GmbH in Munich. The first developments were carried out on Olivetti computers. The switch to Windows took place via MS-DOS.

According to the manufacturer, 6,000 entrepreneurs are using California.
