history

Cambridge Judge Business School

Cambridge Judge Business School was founded in 1990 as the Judge Institute of Management Studies. With donations from Sir Paul and Lady Judge as well as the "Monument Trust" in 1991 the financial basis for the construction of a building was created. The architect John Outram was commissioned with the project . In August 1995 the building was completed and officially opened by Queen Elisabeth II .

The business school is located in the former building of Old Addenbrooke's Site on Trumpington Street, near the university's Fitzwilliam Museum . The colorful facade of the JBS building is a well-known landmark in the city.

In 2005 the Judge Institute of Management Studies was renamed "Judge Business School". In 2010 the name was changed to "Cambridge Judge Business School". The university's logo was also changed in 2010 so that the new name can be read in the logo.
