Camille Bellanger
Camille-Félix Bellanger , called Camille Bellanger (born January 13, 1853 in Paris , † 1923 ) was a French painter and lithographer.
Life
Bellanger studied mostly at the École des Beaux-Arts with Alexandre Cabanel and later moved to the Académie Julian to William Adolphe Bouguereau . With the support of his teachers, he was able to take part in the major annual exhibitions of the Salon de Paris at an early age .
In 1874 he was awarded the Prix de Rome (2nd class) . The prize was endowed with a scholarship, which enabled him to go on a study trip to Rome and to stay there for a longer period.
Soon after his return to Paris, Bellanger was appointed to teach at the Saint-Cyr military school . At the same time, he also ran a small studio, in which he hardly taught any pupils. On 22 February 1896 it appointed war minister Georges Boulanger for Peintre de la Marine .
