Camp Candy is an American animated series that was produced between 1989 and 1991 .

Camp Director John Candy tried to facilitate his charges life in the camp and make it exciting and entertaining as possible. He has many fun adventures with them. Candy's arch-rival Rex tries to demolish the camp and build a housing estate on it. Therefore, he tries to outsmart them with his protégés and always comes up with new things.

The series was produced in the USA between 1989 and 1991. This resulted in three seasons with 40 episodes. The series first aired on September 9, 1989 on NBC . The German first broadcast took place on July 31, 1993 on RTL . More broadcasts were made on Jetix , Super RTL and NRW.TV .
