Campanula jacquinii is a species of bluebell ( Campanula ) in the bellflower family(Campanulaceae).

features

Campanula jacquinii is a perennial , stem hemicryptophyte that reaches heights of growth of 5 to 15 centimeters. The plant is glabrous or hairy. The leaves are leathery, oblong to ovate, notched or serrated and 25 to 50 millimeters in size. The stylus protrude far from the crown. The crown is blue-violet and tubular. The tube and lobes are approximately 5 millimeters long. The inflorescence is a dense, terminal panicle.

The flowering time is in July and November.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 34.

Occurrence

Campanula jacquinii is endemic to Crete . The species grows in crevices at altitudes of 1100 to 2200 meters.
