Campbell Newman

Campbell Newman (born August 12, 1963 in Canberra ) is an Australian politician of the Liberal National Party of Queensland .

Life

Newman attended Launceston Church Grammar School and studied engineering at the Royal Military College Duntroon , the University of New South Wales and the University of Queensland . From 2004 to 2011, Newman succeeded Tim Quinn as Mayor of Brisbane . From March 26, 2012 (as the successor to Anna Bligh ) to February 14, 2015 (and his lost election against Labor , so that he had to hand over the office to Annastacia Palaszczuk) he was Prime Minister of Queensland . Newman is married.
