The Campbell Terrace is a plateau at an average altitude of 1050 m in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . This flat and ice-free area is located on the south side of the Matterhorn in the Asgard Range . The plateau is bounded by the lower sections of the Matterhorn Glacier and the Lacroix Glacier and by the north face of the Taylor Valley .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the plateau in 1998 after Ian Bruce Campbell (* 1935) of the New Zealand Soil Bureau , whose scientific work in Antarctica from 1964 extends over a period of more than 30 years.
