Can Vanlı
Can Bahtiyar Vanlı (born November 1962 in Adana ) is a German-Turkish soccer coach .
Can Vanlı participated in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea / Japan and in the 2003 Confederations Cup in France as an assistant to the Turkish national soccer team. His area of responsibility in the technical staff of national coach Şenol Güneş was a. the tactical analysis of the opponents of the Turkish team via video. The focus was on the game philosophy, tactics and strategic approach of the opposing teams and mistakes in tactical implementation. It was also about increasing the efficiency of your own team.
Vanlı set standards in video game analysis in Turkish football. In Germany Vanlı u. a. in the women's first division at Hamburger SV (1997) and WSV Wendschott-Wolfsburg (2002) and in the men's division at the amateur top division club WSV Wolfenbüttel (amateur top division Bremen / Lower Saxony, 2000).
Vanlı was head coach at VB Sports Club in Male since the beginning of the 2010 season. Under his direction, the VB Sports Club lists the following successes:
- Maldivian Championship in 2010 and 2011
- Charity Shield 2010, 2011 and 2012
- Presidents Cup 2010
- Cup winner 2011
- Coach of the year 2010 and 2011 twice in a row
At the beginning of 2011 he was among the closest candidates for coaching for the post of national coach in Ghana (Black Stars). Since December 2012 Vanlı has been the head coach at Al Ahed, the famous traditional club in Beirut. In the 2013 ELITE CUP Vanlı wins his first title with Al Ahed.
At the end of the 2014/15 season, Ghana's football giant Accra Hearts Of Oak Vanlı signed for the last five games to save the club from looming relegation. With a sensational final sprint, Vanlı brings his team from 15th place in the table to 4th place.
