Erland Brand (born October 5, 1922 in Arvika , Sweden ) is a Swedish painter and graphic artist. He lives and works in Gothenburg .

Brand studied at the Gothenburg Art School Valand and then taught there for three years. The incorporation of partially distorted self-portraits is characteristic of his work. While his early works are often woodcuts or linoleum prints, often with complex cloud motifs, later works include watercolors, collages and composite works, for example in the series 'Alfabet' from 2001, in which watercolors and collages were built into wooden boxes that were closed with a plexiglass.

His works have been acquired by well-known Scandinavian museums, including a. from the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm, the Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm, the Art Museum Gothenburg, the Skissernas museum (Museum of Sketches) in Lund , the Art Museum in Borås , the Sundsvalls Museum in Sundsvall , the Nordic Watercolor Museum in Skärhamn and the Graphics House in Mariefred .
