The Canadian Olympic Committee (English) or Comité olympique canadien (French), abbreviation: COC, is the name of the Canadian sports association that represents the country's athletes at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Pan American Games . The association was founded in 1904 and admitted to the IOC in 1907. The COC also represents a selection of Canadian cities submitting their applications for the Olympic or Pan American Games. The COC currently represents 470 athletes and is divided into the three areas of Executive Committee , Board of Directors and General membership . The COC is based in Toronto . The current President of the COC is Michael Chambers.
