Cantwell Fada

The Cantwell Fada ( Irish Cantual Fada ), "the long Cantwell" even the long man of Kilfane , ( German  "the tall man of Kilfane" ) is a well-preserved high relief that a unique antique from the Middle Ages to the British Isles is . It is located on the north wall of the ruins of Kilfane Church ( Cill Pháin ), which was founded in the 14th century. Kilfane is located near Thomastown in County Kilkenny in Ireland .

It is a 2.4 m long limestone grave slab with the image of a strikingly tall man in Norman armor and chain mail. The Cantwells were Lords of Kilfane and the surrounding areas after the arrival of the Normans in 1169.
