The Capanna Cornavosa ( German : Cornavosahütte) is a self-catering hut in the Ticino Alps . It is one of the five refuges that make up the Via Alta della Verzasca .

It is located at 1991 m above sea level. M. in a side valley of the Verzasca . On August 7, 2010, it was inaugurated and opened to guests after it had been restored in the five previous years in a joint effort by the Società Escursionistica Verzaschese (SEV) and the Weiler section of the German Alpine Club . The closest place with about 4½ hours walking time is Lavertezzo .
The hut is the stage of the ninth stage of the Via Alta Idra high-altitude trail , which leads in 12 stages from the source of the Ticino river to its confluence with Lake Maggiore .
