Capelle is a district of the municipality of Nordkirchen in the Coesfeld district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

Capelle is east of Nordkirchen. The train station is about 1.3 km east of the village.

history

The place is first mentioned in a document around 800, when Emperor Charlemagne gave the first bishop of Münster, Liudger , the Ithari forest area with three upper courts. One of them became Capelle. In 1698 the parish church of St. Dionysius was built. Until 1923 Capelle belonged to the Werne office. Then it came to the office of North Churches.

On January 1, 1975, Capelle was incorporated into Nordkirchen.

The district has a train station on the Preußen – Münster railway line . There keep hourly regional trains of Keolis- euro railway (Line RB 50 The Lüner ) between Dortmund and Münster.
