The Capital Tower (Chinese: 资金 资金) is a 52-story skyscraper with a height of 255 meters that was completed in 2000 in the Shenton Way-Tanjong Pagar financial district in Singapore. It is currently the fifth tallest skyscraper in the city. Formerly planned as the headquarters of POSB Bank , ownership of the building passed to the real estate developer CapitaLand and was then named after the company.
The Capital Tower has 52 floors and five double-story shuttle elevators. The elevators can carry 3,540 kg and travel at a speed of 10 meters per second. The building is visually noticeable at night, as the logo and some parts of the building change the light every few seconds.
The China Club is located on the top floor of the tower. An exclusive, 1930s Shanghai-style retro club. The club has a bar, a restaurant with private dining rooms and meeting rooms. The club opened on May 19, 2001.
