Captain of the Honorable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms

The Captain of the Honorable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms is an office in the Government of the United Kingdom that has been exercised by the Chief Whip of the majority faction in the House of Lords since 1945 . He is a senior officer in the bodyguard. In fact, the guard is led by the lieutenant. Until March 17, 1834, the Life Guard was designated as the Honorable Band of Gentlemen Pensioners .
