Cara Santa Maria (born October 19, 1983 in Plano , Texas ) is an American science journalist specializing in topics related to the brain. It is in Europe mainly through TV appearances, u. a. known at Larry King and CNN , where she regularly presents innovative scientific projects and generally also presents actual topics in detail.

She holds a master's degree in neurobiology from the University of North Texas and a PhD in clinical neuro psychology from the City University of New York .
