Caracalla (clothing)
Caracalla was worn by the Gauls , and later also by Teutons , and was about a knee-length skirt with long sleeves, which was slit in front and back to the hips in a special way .
The Roman Emperor Caracalla introduced this garment in Rome . This earned him the nickname Caracalla . His birth name was Lucius Septimius Bassianus.
The Roman shape was cut a little longer and was called caracalla talaris . Often it also had a hood .
