The Care Heights are a group of mostly icy peaks and ridges that rise up to 1,500  m on Alexander I Island north of Tufts Pass and represent the southern end of the Rouen Mountains .

They were first photographed from the air during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948) under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne . These recordings were used in 1960 by the British geographer Derek Searle of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. Further position determinations followed using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1966 and 1967 and through Landsat photographs in January 1974. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named Care Heights in 1977 after Bernard William "Bernie" Care (* 1951), geologist of the British Antarctic Survey on Stonington Island from 1973 to 1975, on Adelaide Island from 1975 to 1976 and on Alexander I Island from 1976 to 1977.
