Carl-Einar Häckner , also Charlie Häckner , (born October 8, 1969 in Nödinge-Nol , Sweden ) is a Swedish magician , actor and comedian .

Career

Carl-Einar Häckner was born on October 8, 1969 in Nödinge-Nol and grew up in Gårdsten. He became interested in sorcery when his grandmother disappeared a coin and pulled it back from behind his ear when he was six years old. In his youth he took part in various magic competitions. He became the youngest member of the Gothenburg Magic Club.

At the age of 18 he appeared at the Grand Prix Magiques de Monte Carlo as well as on Swedish and German television. He now began to combine comedy and magic. In 1988 he won the Nya Ansikten young talent award. He made his debut as a stand-up comedian in 1989 at the Valand Art Academy . This was followed by appearances in Stockholm with the SUCK group. He also worked as a magician under the stage name Wic Mack and began to give solo performances.

In 1991 he made an appearance on Swedish television in which he stuck a condom in his nose and took it out of his mouth. This trick made him known worldwide. This year he began appearing as a permanent guest on the television program Dabrowski . The readers of the newspaper Aftonbladet voted him "Sexiest Man Alive".

For a long time, Häckner performed in the Liseberg variety theater , which was known for acrobats and escape artists . His show there since 1996. In 1995 he was voted the funniest Sweden of the year by the Swedish Humor Association.

In 1995, Häckner played a role in the film The Tears of Saint Peter and a leading role as Robert in the television series Herbert & Robert . In 2000, Häckner also appeared in Galenskaparna och After Shaves and the variety show Jul Jul Jul .

In 2009/10 Häckner played with La Clique at the Roundhouse in London . Häckner, who speaks fluent German, became known in Germany through three appearances on the TV show TV Total .

In December 2010 Häckner returned to the Roundhouse with his solo show Carl-Einar Häckner: Big in Sweden . He also performed in Melbourne at the 2013 International Comedy Festival on Good News Week .
