Carl B. Huffaker
Carl Barton Huffaker (born September 30, 1914 in Monticello , † October 10, 1995 in California ) was an American biologist, ecologist, and agronomist.
He made significant contributions to population ecology and research into biological pest control . Until 1985 he was a professor at the College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley , where he established the Center for Biological Pest Control. His scientific achievements are reflected in over 200 scientific publications and have been awarded the Wolf Prize , among others .
In 1982 Huffaker was elected to the National Academy of Sciences .
