Carl Brasch

Carl Brasch (born March 3, 1825 in Massow , † 1886 ) was a German portrait painter and photographer .

Life

Carl Wilhelm Brasch was the son of master rope maker Johann Friedrich Brasch and his wife Anna Maria, née. Spade. He described himself as a “portrait painter and court photographer of Her Royal Highness the Princess Friedrich Carl von Prussia ” and had his studio in Berlin W, Leipziger Strasse 8, later on 9. In 1854 he married Marie Luise Neuschild from Oderberg and had at least nine children with her.

Among other things, he made portraits of children and young people of the future Emperor Wilhelm II .
