During the Second World War, the production facilities at Francke-Werke were badly damaged, and after the war, machine and crane construction began again. The hydraulic engineering was also revitalized. A rescue company owned by the state at the time operated the factory as a GmbH at the old location in Seefelde, which later became Carl-Francke-Straße in Bremen.

The company was liquidated on August 21, 1957 , and the facilities were taken over by the Friedrich Kocks machine factory .

In 1954, in the Bremen-Neustadt district , Carl-Francke-Strasse was named after him.
