Carl Geyer (entomologist)
Carl Geyer (born March 4, 1802 in Augsburg , † June 1, 1889 ibid) was a German entomologist , engraver and draftsman who wrote and illustrated supplements to Jacob Huebner's work on Lepidoptera .
Carl Geyer was originally an artist. He is not to be confused with the botanist Karl Andreas Geyer (1809-1853). His zoological author's abbreviation is " Geyer ".
