Carl Hermann Schleifer

Carl Hermann Schleifer (born February 22, 1942 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer , administrative officer and manager .

Life

After graduating from high school, Carl Hermann Schleifer studied law from 1963 to 1968 at the universities of Kiel , Freiburg and Berlin . He passed the first state examination in law, completed his legal clerkship in the Schleswig-Holstein financial administration from 1968 to 1972 and finally passed the second state examination in law. In 1973 he received his doctorate in law . Until 1988 he worked in the financial administration of Schleswig-Holstein , from 1983 to 1988 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. As such, he was, among other things, a member of the supervisory board of Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW).

After leaving the State Secretary, Schleifer switched to the insurance industry and was CEO of Colonia Krankenversicherung AG from 1993 to 1997 and also CEO of Colonia Lebensversicherung AG and Nordstern Lebensversicherung AG from 1994 to 1997 . He was also a member of the board of directors of Colonia Konzern AG and was responsible for sales and marketing in this role. In 1997 he became a managing partner and chairman of the management board of the Damp group of companies. From 1998 to 2005 he was CEO of the Damp Holding AG clinic group . In 2006 Schleifer started working as a lawyer and tax advisor in Kiel . In the same year he became a member of the supervisory board of Glücksburg Consulting AG (GLC). From 2007 to 2010 he worked as a strategy and restructuring advisor for the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). Since September 1, 2010 he has again been CEO of Damp Holding AG.

In addition to his professional activity, Schleifer helped found the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in 1986 .

Carl Hermann Schleifer is married and has three children.
