Carl Holland
Carl Holland (on December 1 . Jul / 13. December 1843 greg. In Saint Petersburg - 11. February 1891 in Würzburg ) was a German theater actor and comedian .
Life
Holland, the son of Constantin Holland and Julie Gerstel, began his theatrical career in 1859. He was then engaged in Krefeld, Rostock, Elberfeld, Würzburg, Mainz, Bremen, Freiburg, Königsberg and in 1868 joined the association of the Hofbühne in Wiesbaden.
The talented artist was a character comedian and was one of the most popular members of the Hofbühne. Among his achievements, which were particularly well received , we should mention "Valentin" in Verschwender , "Didier" in Grille , "Bellmaus" in journalists , "Zwiesele" in Schwäbin , "Stritzkow" in promises behind the stove etc.
The actress Marie Holland was his half-sister from his father's first marriage to Marianne Kainz .
