Carl Schlotthauer

Carl Schlotthauer (* 1803 in Munich ) was a German painter.

Career

Schlotthauer was initially taught by his uncle, the painter Joseph Schlotthauer (1789–1869). He later studied at the Munich Academy . During trips to the high mountains and to Tyrol, numerous landscapes were created which, in addition to architectural painting, are formative for his work.

He worked as a professor of drawing in Lindau (Lake Constance) .
