Carl von Schirach

Carl Baily Norris von Schirach (born November 10, 1873 in Kiel , † July 11, 1948 in Weimar ) was a German theater director .

Life

Schirach was initially an officer . From 1905 to 1906 he stayed at the Städtische Bühnen in Cologne for study purposes. From October 1909 to December 31, 1918 he was director of the National Theater in Weimar , and he was also a war participant.

In 1933 von Schirach became general manager of the Nassau State Theater in Wiesbaden .

He was married to the American Emma Middleton Lynah Tillon. His son was the later Reichsjugendführer Baldur von Schirach , his daughter Rosalind von Schirach was an opera singer.
