Carla Guelfenbein (* 1959 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean writer and screenwriter .

Life

Carla Guelfenbein was born in Santiago de Chile in 1959 . She and her family went to England in 1976 because they came under increasing pressure in opposition to the Augusto Pinochet regime . Carla Guelfenbein studied biology and design in Essex . Today she lives again in her Chilean homeland, where she initially worked in advertising and took over the art and fashion departments at Elle magazine . Guelfenbein's second novel ( The Woman of Our Life ) was Book of the Year in Chile in 2005 and was number one on the bestseller lists for months.
