Carla Marangoni

Carla Marangoni (born November 13, 1915 in Pavia ; died January 18, 2018 there ) was an Italian gymnast.

Life

Marangoni took part in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam , where she won the silver medal in the team all- round competition in the team of Italian gymnasts . On their return to Italy, each of the twelve gymnasts, all of whom came from the province of Pavia , received a pair of plastic trainers and a savings account with 100 lire as recognition. Marangoni was one of the first women to get a driver's license in Italy.

She reached the age of 102 and was the last surviving participant in the 1928 Olympic Games.
