Carlo Bagno (born March 21, 1920 in Lendinara , † June 19, 1990 in Milan ) was an Italian actor .

Life

After attending the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica, Bagno graduated there in the 1940/41 season. After the end of the Second World War, he received orders from the radio, for which he spoke several comedies, and then devoted himself entirely to the theater, where he played alongside Sergio Tofano and then at "Piccolo di Milano". Under Giorgio Strehler he appeared in numerous old and new classics. After further stations he played at the "Stabile di Trieste" and from 1962 for five years in Turin before returning to Trieste. The stocky and robust Bagno, who often embodied rough but good-natured characters, appeared repeatedly in the film between 1955 and 1987. For television, his contribution to The Madness of Chaillot in 1961 was outstanding.

Bagno received a Nastro d'Argento for Best Supporting Actor in 1978 .
