Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti
Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti (born March 18, 1910 in Lucca , † August 3, 1987 in Florence ) was an Italian art historian and art critic .
Life
Ragghianti studied art history at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and the University of Pisa , especially with Matteo Marangoni . In 1935 he founded the magazine "Critica d'Arte" together with Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli . From 1948 to 1972 he taught as a professor of art history at the University of Pisa.
Ragghianti's private library, photo library and its archive materials are kept by the Centro Studi sull'Arte Licia e Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti in Lucca.
